1975 Dodge D100 - An Introduction

I picked this truck up about 2 and a half years ago. I was looking for a project truck, and like most guys, I guess, I was looking for a Ford F100 or Chevy C10. I was seeing some great articles and videos on what people were doing with those trucks, and it looked like fun.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find anything in the Las Vegas area for the price I was wanting to spend. I knew that this would be a long-term project due to my work/family/school schedule, and wasn't looking to spend a fortune. Also, when i did find something in the price range, the person selling the vehicle normally failed to contact me back...such is life in Vegas

Then I came across this truck when searching online. The price was right, and though it was in rough condition, I knew I could do something with it. The owner was quick to respond, and I was off to check it out. And obviously I wasn't disappointed. It started right up, and ran well from the get-go. I knew I had to have it!

So, after verifying that the VIN matched the title, and doing a quick check online, I came back the next day with the cash, and actually drove the beast home...mostly. About halfway home the radiator started spewing coolant (sine there was no overflow bottle I knew that would happen but took the chance), and the truck ran out of gas! Oh well. The previous owner was kind enough to run home, grab his trailer, and pick us up off the side of the road.

Once home, the planning began. First, I lowered the front and rear ends (more to come on that later), and I replaced the floors (Again, more to come later). I also took care of some minor odds-and-ends, like fixing the headlights and working on the rear axle.

Now, the engine is out, and there are big plans in the works for that. So, head on over to MoonBuilt Garage on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPZnrdlK8aH--AJHy6Xa3bg) and watch as this project comes to life.

Here's how the Dodge D100 looked the day I got it

That stance IS NOT going to cut it!

I think maybe the interior needs some help

According to the VIN, this engine and trans are NOT original...
